Risk assessment of bridges must be done now before tanker expansion approved.

Risk assessment of bridges must be done now before tanker expansion approved.
The Issue
Tell Ottawa that you think Vancouver’s Second Narrows bridges are at risk and a proper risk assessment must be done before approval is given to Kinder Morgan's expansion proposal.
Subject: Safety concerns that the Second Narrows bridges could be struck by Aframax tankers due to a sevenfold increase in tanker traffic.
Dear Prime Minister,
We think the possibility of these loaded tankers striking the railway bridge and carrying its superstructure onto the highway bridge, causing the collapse of both, may be high. The consequences of this happening are severe, such as loss of life and losses to the economy, especially that of the greater Vancouver area.
These bridges have not had a proper risk analysis. We ask that a risk analysis similar to the requirements of the Canadian S6 highways bridge code be completed before any decision is made to increase the tanker traffic.
We, the undersigned, ask that this analysis be carried out before any decision is made to approve the Transmountain expansion.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
