The Supreme Court of Canada recently decided that bestiality in Canada is only illegal if it involves penetration. It's a national embarrassment that Canada made world news headlines because of our Supreme Court effectively declaring most forms of bestiality legal. The Court found this during a deeply disturbing case where (Warning: Very disturbing content for the rest of this paragraph!) a stepfather sexually abused his 2 teen stepdaughters, on some occasions by spreading peanut butter on their privates and having a dog lick it off. The court found him guilty of other charges but not of forcing bestiality, since their was no penetration, so no illegal bestiality. This petition desperately urges Prime Minister Trudeau, the majority Liberals, and all other MPs to immediately pass a new law clearly stating that all forms of bestiality are illegal in Canada. This request should never even have had to be made in the first place. The Supreme Court should have known better. And politicians should have immediately jumped to fix this new and awful hole in the law. The Supreme Court statement said: “Parliament may wish to consider whether the present provisions adequately protect children and animals. But it is for Parliament, not the courts, to expand the scope of criminal liability for this ancient offence.” Parliament and Prime Minister Trudeau the court has left this in your hands. Please address this horrible issue IMMEDIATELY.
