How Serious is Pulmonary Hypertension?

The PHight or Flight Project

Sep 10, 2016
I wanted to share this video that helps depict what it is like living with pulmonary hypertension. Many of us living with pulmonary hypertension do not look sick, and because it is rare, the general public does not understand the severity of the disease. I think this video does a great job capturing the breathless those living with pulmonary hypertension can and do experience.
Pulmonary hypertension is a dangerously progressive disease, often leading to heart or respiratory failure. Canadians need access to more medications because often times, medications will stop working as the disease progresses. With few oral and and no inhaled medications available to us, we have less medications to help keep us stable longer, and potentially off of IV medications longer. These medications, for some, could help us get precious time. They could help us stay stable longer.
Thank you for everyone who has sign so far! I can't believe we have hit 100 petitions in less than 48 hours. Please continue to share and encourage your friends and family to do the same. We're going to need a lot of support for our voices to be heard.
