As a Canadian citizen, I am eternally grateful for the free health care system we have in place for people. Pierre Trudeau’s government brought this to pass back in the 60s, and we are much better for it. With that being said, Justin Trudeau, his son, almost 50 years later, has an opportunity to do something similar, in bringing free health care for animals. I’m sure he feels great that he’s been able to legalize marijuana but his greatest accolade still awaits. I think it’s a little unfair that humans can have free health care but the pets they cherish still have to be provided for out of pocket and we all know how hefty veterinarian bills can be. I’m petitioning to have Justin Trudeau consider unveiling free health care for animals in Canada, as this will not only make Canada look like a true care provider for all creatures living within its borders, but it’ll seal Justin Trudeau’s legacy in the process.
