End Sky rocket Vet Costs

End Sky rocket Vet Costs
The Issue
Dear Mr. Trudeau
We are a non profit organization asking for your help in putting a cap on Vet costs. There are so many low income families that love their pets just as much as wealthy families do. I was shocked and saddened when I tried numerous times to get help for a very ill cat and dog. I was also shocked at the price I was given to spay a 6.1 kg dog, the Vet was asking $770.00 dollars and we are a rescue center, can you imagine what she would have charged a person who was not? This has to end ! I am asking the Canadian Government to please put a cap on Vet costs, make Vets work with local rescues/shelters at low costs and help provide low income families lower costs so that we can help end animal abuse, abandonment and our over population problems with affordable programs in Canada. I feel that if low income families were given discounted fees many cats and dogs would be spayed/neutered. I also feel that all local vets should be capped when charging fees to other rescue or shelter centers. We should all be working to help animals not just help our pockets. Please consider putting caps on Vet costs in Canada they are truly over and above what most individuals can afford and I do not believe we should have to be RICH in order to LOVE an animal.
I found this dog in the photo above who was suffering horribly with massive amounts of matting to its body and head. The matts were so bad on its face I could barely see its eyes, puss was running from his black dark circles on its face. I am a local rescue in Trenton Ontario I called and begged 6 vets to help give our rescue a lower costs they all denied us help. Please cap vet costs or make it mandatory they must help other rescues with low costs. No one at VFA Society gets paid we all volunteer and we have been using our own funds out of our pockets as we get zero support. Please help us help animals by implementing a law prohibiting vets from denying help to local rescues.
Thank you
