Bill C-246 deals with a very important issue in our country today. Our Animal Abuse and Cruelty laws are severely outdated. The last time the Animal Cruelty laws were changed or even updated in Canada was in the late 1800s. That's over a century ago! The current laws we have are very vague and undefined allowing many Animal Abusers to go free or be met with little to no punishment for they're actions. Bill C-246 changes and updates these laws allowing for no loopholes and tougher punishments for those caught abusing animals. If Canada prides itself on being such a progressive country, this is an issue that must be fixed now and the solution is Bill C-246!
