Hello,
I hope all is as well as can be with you and yours in this ongoing challenging time.
Thank you very much for signing the petition calling on the Transport Minister to ban the unsafe Boeing 737 Max airplane in Canada; to call a public inquiry into the government's decisions to approve the plane, and to create an Airline Passengers Organization to help protect passengers in the future!
Please Share the petition now to spread the word and increase the pressure on the Transport Minister to make these key changes!
Two years today, March 10, 2019, the second crash of the 737 Max happened in Ethiopia, killing 157 people, including 18 Canadians. Family members of victims held vigils today in Toronto and Washington, D.C. -- click here to see an article about the vigils, and you can see another article and TV piece by clicking here.
Democracy Watch also issued a news release today -- click here to see it. As Chris Moore, whose daughter Danielle was killed in the crash in Ethiopia, says in the news release: “The 737 Max still has known major and catastrophic hazards that can contribute to a crash. The public relies on safe travel and, therefore, the new model of the 737 or 737 Max series should be evaluated as a new type of plane, which would eliminate it from Canadian skies as it cannot meet safety requirements for new planes. Canadians need to tell Transport Canada and the Prime Minister to ban this plane in Canada. This is a matter of social democracy and the public should have a say in our safety. Please sign the petition.”
Please Share the petition now to spread the word and increase the pressure on the Transport Minister to make key changes to ban the Boeing 737 Max, and to protect all airline passengers.
Thank you, and take care and stay safe,
