This page has been created as a petition to the council of Whitchurch-Stouffville. (who has not been helpful in this situation) The Town is violating it’s own by law now which is negatively affecting families within our new subdivision.

Families with multiple vehicles will not be able to park all their cars in the driveway because they have decided to change the city plans without any notice and add a sidewalk. Those that specifically bought because no sidewalk was to be installed on our street now are facing getting parking tickets with no where to park their extra cars.

As a by-law… Stouffville states that a dwelling must have a minimum of 2 car parking spot on their driveway. This law was passed a few years ago… and if they put in a sidewalk, they would be violating their own by-law. ( as stated by the engineering of city… you can consider your garage a parking spot ) Very Clever and a great way to try and get around breaking your own laws!... not to mention it’s not exactly easy for most when you have a larger vehicle that doesn’t fit into a single garage!

I ask you take a moment and sign this petition to help keep Stouffville accountable for their own bylaws by not breaking them!!
