A CALL FOR CHANGE - We need to work towards zero road trauma death, and to achieve this we require an URGENT change of mindset, and a singular legislation for road crimes.
This will be the only true deterrent, but we cannot afford to wait. Australia and NSW have made progress in the plan towards zero but ranks 20th behind other developed countries.
The Law Reform Commission’s call for submissions is a chance for change. With 329 lives already lost on NSW roads his year, we know more lives will be lost and families destroyed during the course of this review.
The government has now set a serious challenge for itself to move from review to action for substantive reform; however, we need our government to take urgent action by setting an end date to this review.
We need more swift action to take place. It’s time for justice!
