As the one year mark approaches, I wanted to recap what has happened thus far.
In February of 2026 I sent the Wayne County States attorney a certified letter containing 30 pages , that was 1380 signatures, in support of this petition. In April of 2026 Kyle emails me to let me know he reviewed the case. He also had a colleague review the case. Both of them agree with the initial case finding. The case remains inactive. Kyle also offered me the case file to try and get closure and peace from what it contained. I have made videos reading directly from the case file. All statements, police reports, and the affidavit filed.
What we know now, still doesn't add up to what was said. The police barely did their job investigating this case. The evidence that makes up the case file, is lacking. They were negligent and inept in their sworn duties as representatives of justice.
I can promise you this, as an advocate for justice I plan on cutting no corners. It doesn't have to be personal for it to matter. Justice denied to one, is an injustice to us all. I advocate for those who need it. In his death Trask was disregarded, in his investigation he was denied compassion and dignity. In his pursuit of justice, he is valued, respected, and missed.
