The cause of protecting youth from being dehumanized and trafficked as commodities is starting to gain real attention on Capital Hill and senators are calling for new concrete actions that will address this pattern of abuse.

Newsflash: New laws are nice but what the troubled teen industry does is already illegal. It's not just "abuse." It's actual criminality. Their practices violate every norm of the healing and teaching professions; and parents would go to jail if they used such disciplinary techniques on their own kids.

That is why this petition calls for investigation and prosecution under pre-existing laws that were enacted decades ago to take down the mafia, the Ku Klux Klan and other forms of organized crime.
