First, Tariq Ramadan would like to thank all the supporters, all those have mobilized as well as thank all the several hundreds who have taken the time to write to him in person, but also to his family, and his lawyer. This support is growing and warms his heart. He is very grateful to you. At this point, Professor Ramadan's health continues to deteriorate progressively and worryingly, daily. This is why the lawyer has just asked for a new medical expertise. But if there was one thing that remains intact, it is the professor’s determination to fight against this injustice and this incomprehensible judicial treatment. He keeps the faith, always, and thanks you fraternally. It is obvious that being in close proximity to the accused and the judicial file, the reality seems very different from what is described in the press: supporters are multiplying: as well as old friends, sisters and brothers, who are expressing real sadness and concern. There are also those supporters who don’t dare speak publicly. While it may be difficult to understand, the context may partly explain it. There is also support from those who share neither the ideas nor the convictions of Tariq Ramadan, whatever these ideas may be: political, philosophical or religious. There are many who, beyond the [concern for the] person, are concerned about the state of justice in the land of ‘human rights’. For those who wonder if they can write to him, the answer is yes. Avant toute chose, Tariq Ramadan tient à remercier tous les soutiens, toutes celles et ceux qui se mobilisent, de même qu'il remercie toutes les personnes, plusieurs centaines, ayant pris le temps de lui écrire, à lui en personne, mais aussi à sa famille, ou à son avocat. Ce soutien, qui ne fait qu'augmenter, lui réchauffe le coeur et il vous en sait gré. À ce stade, la santé du professeur Ramadan continue à se détériorer progressivement et de façon préocupante, jour après jour, et c'est la raison pour laquelle l'avocat vient de demander une nouvelle expertise médicale. Mais s'il est une chose qui ne se détériore pas, c'est la détermination du professeur à se battre face à cette injustice et à cet incompréhensible traitement judiciaire. Il garde la foi, toujours, et vous remercie fraternellement. Il est évident que proche du dossier et de l'accusé, la réalité semble bien différente de ce qui est décrit dans la presse : les soutiens se multiplient: des amis de toujours, des soeurs et des frères, qui expriment une réelle tristesse et préoccupation, il y a aussi de ces soutiens qui n’osent s’exprimer publiquement, et même si cela peut être difficile à comprendre, le contexte peut en partie l’expliquer. Mais il est aussi des soutiens de celles et ceux qui ne partagent ni les idées, ni les convictions de Tariq Ramadan, qu'elles soient politiques, philosophiques ou religieuses. Nombreuses et nombreux sont celles et ceux qui au delà de la personne, s’inquiètent de l’état de la justice au pays des droits de l’homme.
