New Website Update- The Nido
Friends, Family, and Community,
It’s been three weeks since my BFF, and her family fell victim to a (suspected) drunk driver. After many surgeries and gentle progressions in the right direction, all FOUR (yes, you read that correctly) are in the hospital right now; two in ICU, one on the trauma floor, and another recovering from both an immediate and necessary surgery.
In an effort to keep people as updated as possible, Johanna Rasmussen and I have created a website that will host and post the most recent information + status updates regarding the family.
The Nido (Nest) is a nickname I gave the Palencia-Valesquez home because it took in anyone, any animal, and anything in need. It was a safe place we could go to be housed, fed, and loved back to wholeness.
It is my greatest hope that in a couple of months, their wings will be mended, and they can finally fly back to the Nido to be together again.
