During the filming of The Misfits, Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller’s marriage began to deteriorate, resulting in divorce by 1961. Marilyn’s mental health began to take a real toll, and she was suffering at great lengths, but even so, she managed to give a great performance. Arthur Miller also met his future wife, photographer Inge Morath on the set of The Misfits, causing Marilyn a great deal of pain.
