10/1 ASPEN UPDATE

STOLEN/DUMPED - $850 Reward

By now everyone knows my 11 month old kitten was stolen and dumped behind Menards in Columbus. I’m extremely sad/angry to say that we are no longer looking for an 11 month old. Aspen spent her 1st birthday away from us.

We’ve set up several traps behind the ponds and are still praying she’ll find one.

I continue to receive multiple messages every day about families searching the fields/woods. I can’t express enough how much this means to us. Thank you all for taking the time to help us bring her home.

Mom and I were able to sit with the prosecutor on Friday and discuss criminal charges against the Dardis family. Unfortunately, Lee and Breanna did a lot of research before confessing to stealing/dumping Aspen. They were very careful to give an exact description of the cat they dumped, but refused to admit it was her. Because of this, we can’t press criminal charges. This could potentially change if Aspen is found. Many people have called the Dardis family out for hindering our search and not coming out to help. But for them, her being found is the worst case scenario. We’re going to continue to search daily and build a civil case, but all criminal charges are on hold.
