Four years ago today, my pregnant daughter Katherine aka Katarina Hoover was shot in the head by a man doing cowboy tricks with his gun and never checking to make sure the gun was clear of any bullets-- My grandson Rehlin Lee was born by emergency cesarean section. He was close to two pounds and lived for 41 minutes before dying. The surgeon would not bay flight him to All Children's Hospital as he said the baby was not viable which after the autopsy was performed we would find out he was a healthy baby with all his organs functioning. Due to Florida law Katherine was kept on Life Support for another 6 hours after Rehlin's death until the surgical neurologist could confirm the general surgeon's findings in telling us what we already knew. She was brain dead, inoperable and would die. Pleading with her husband to take her off life support and finally agreeing to do it-she would die on July 27, 2014 at 3:05 am. My life forever changed that day but I wouldn't know how much it would change until two weeks later on August 14, 2014 my granddaughter Jade Katherine was born pre-maturely she would live for 2 1/2 months. Then much to my horror, three days before her coming home party she would die from too much potassium in her kidneys. The past four years all seem like a blur. They have flew by so quickly. I have been busy for the past four years though. I have been fighting to bring my daughter and grandson's killer to justice. The road has been long. One minute you have hope and the next they are dashed to hell. I have begged, pleaded, demanded, screamed, and dam near committed suicide trying to fight. No I am not a nut case even though at times I felt like I was going to become one. Believe it or not I didn't take sedatives, illegal drugs or drink alcohol I have done all this fighting for justice straight. Many people still can not believe I have lived through my nightmare drug and alcohol free. I have been lied to by the State Attorney and assistant prosecutor who never even reviewed the interview video tape with the detective and killer-where the killer clearly states he had consumed Lortab, Methadone and Soma approximately 45 minutes before he shot Katherine. I have begged the Hernando County Sheriff's office to do their job and have gone to every government official in the state of Florida as well as Federal including President Obama, Trump, FBI, US Attorney General. Katherine's case was also put into a brief into the Florida Supreme Court proving that Governor Rick Scott is a liar and lies to his constituents. I am pleading and begging you the public to help me in getting justice for Katherine and Rehlin. There lives mattered too. Katherine's older son misses her and is now better with the intense counseling he has had to receive over the loss of his mother and brother. Katherine and Rehlin can not rest in peace until justice has been served. It is in the best interest of justice to prosecute this case and put her killer away because he continued to play with guns putting the public in harms way even after killing her and once again he shoots off his guns with minor children next to him. How many more children have to die? When will he be punished for the crimes of manslaughter he has already committed? How many more people have to die at his hands and his guns before action is taken? I am begging you to call, write email and demand justice or Brad King should be impeached for not doing his job and overseeing the attorneys in his offices.
