As you know, our petition for Faith's Law was launched in the wake of the heartbreaking loss of Faith Johnson. We are writing to inform you of her funeral arrangements:
Faith's funeral will be held this Saturday, March 8th, at 11am, at The Jones Funeral Home.
This is a time for us to come together to honor Faith's memory and to reaffirm our commitment to the cause that her life has inspired. We know that many of you who have signed this petition are deeply invested in seeing justice served and ensuring that no other family experiences the pain the Johnsons have endured.
Faith's story continues to be a powerful catalyst for change, and her legacy will drive our unwavering efforts to enact Faith's Law, ensuring student safety and well-being. The Johnson family's strength and determination in the face of unimaginable loss have been an inspiration to us all.
In addition to honoring Faith Johnson’s memory, we want to share an important update regarding the Johnson family's pursuit of justice. They have consulted with their attorney, who has determined that there might be evidence of medical negligence on the part of UVA Hospital. This negligence, according to their attorney, may have contributed to a different outcome, even given the contributed negligence from the school NREP. This new information underscores the complexity of this case and the Johnson family's unwavering pursuit of accountability.
We understand that many of you may want to express your condolences and show your support. We encourage you to keep the Johnson family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
As previously mentioned, they have established a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called Baby Faith’s Journey. This organization will provide support and resources to other families facing similar medical and systemic challenges.
