BBC Radio 4 File on 4 investigates
The BBC has started to investigate the Crown Prosecution Service over its charging decisions against women who make rape claims.
The first episode concerns a woman who made a rape claim against a serving police officer. This officer made a recording of the incident thinking he was clever to do so. In fact, this recording shows that he breached the boundaries for consent.
Why did the CPS overlook this?
The jury acquitted this poor brave woman and the police officer is now facing gross professional misconduct charges.
This programme is being broadcast on BBC Sounds ay 6am on Tuesday 27th January and later at 8pm on BBC Radio 4
