Update: Still Searching for Justice — Please Don’t Turn a Blind Eye

As of April 17, 2025, an official appeal has been filed in my son Delquan Danford’s case. The Salt Lake City Legal Defender Association currently has the case under review, but as many of you know, justice is not always swift—it is a process, and often a long and painful one. Still, we remain hopeful.

Delquan’s daughter, Emyla, recently graduated from pre-K. A beautiful milestone that should have been celebrated with her father by her side. Instead, she continues to yearn for him and ask questions that no child her age should have to ask.

We have submitted letters, documented evidence, and formally requested clemency and a pardon. We are not just seeking freedom—we are seeking truth. Delquan is not perfect, but he is not the man the State of Utah is trying to portray him as. The story being told in courtrooms and paperwork is not the truth—it’s a fabrication, and it’s destroying lives.

People like Delquan often get lost in the system if they don't have someone fighting for them. That’s why we continue to speak out. We are not asking for money. We are asking for your voice. Please sign and share this petition.
