Good morning!
I recently received an email from Crystal’s attorney, Kim Cole, who said that Crystal has “completed her FEDERAL (10-month) sentence,” and “is still facing FIVE YEARS in state prison. She is still out on bond pending her appeal.”
So the good news is that she is currently out on bond and back home with her family. The other good news is that thanks in great part to your generous donations while Crystal was serving out the last few months of her federal sentence, she and her children did not lose their home to foreclosure.
At this point in time I ask that you continue to spread the word about Crystal’s case and call/email/write Governor Greg Abbott and his office whenever you can to demand the immediate pardon of Crystal Mason. You can find Governor Abbott’s contact information below:
Office of the Texas Governor: (512) 463-2000
The Governor’s 800 number: (800) 843-5789
*If he does not take calls or their phones go down, please call the following members of his staff and ask to speak with Governor Abbott:

***Sample letter to Governor Abbott:
“Dear Governor Abbott,
I write you today to request the immediate pardon of Crystal Martin. As you already know, Miss Mason is currently in prison for voting while she was on supervised release. She has been consistent in maintaining her statement that she was unaware that it was illegal for her to vote while she was on supervised release. She has stated countless times that she had never been made aware of the implications of voting following her release from prison.
Miss Mason is a victim of voter disenfranchisement, and you have the opportunity to pardon and set her free today. Please reunite Miss Mason with her children today for good, sir.
God bless you and yours,
Sincerely,
John/Jane Doe
