Hello,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for you continued support. Through your help we have reached over 1 thousand signatures! We have also achieved:

  • Over 800 dollars raised for Mr. Brian's daughter GoFundMe
  • 1,681 Signatures
  • 630 Petition shares
  • 61 Petition promoters
  • $1,386 total contributions

Together we are making a difference.

I thank you for every comment, share and donation. I have read every comment, and I understand that this is a systemic issue. I appreciate you all for opening your hearts and sharing your stories. I want to especially thank our veteran supporters for your service. It is your sacrifice that makes this country a better place. You all deserve so much better and hopefully together we can push the Veteran Affairs to provide the benefits you all so deserve. Mr. Brian's story rings true for many veterans who know firsthand how complicit the VA can be.

Some Campaign Updates:

  • I have added decision makers to this petition. The Cobb County District Attorney's Office and The Department of Veteran's Affair. These are the organizations with the authority to do something. They have access to the petition and can see every comment signature and story.
  • I have contacted Neena Kao, a family friend of the Easley-Brown family that created the Gofundme for Jayla. I have shared the petition and will be discussing future step with her and the family upon her response.
  • Lastly, as some of you may have seen Tyler Perry recently released a movie on Netflix by the name of STRAW. The movie closely resembles the true story of Mr.Brian , thus I believe he must be familiar with the story. With that in mind I plan to reach out to him sharing this petition and Jayla's GoFundMe in the hopes that he can provide MUCH needed coverage.

I thank you all for your patience and support. Please keep sharing his story and I will continue doing the same. We will get justice for him and his family, and I will keep you updated as I receive new information. Until then I thank you all once again.  Please keep sharing.
