Our community’s fight for guardrails on SR 163 has been heard. The Tribune Star has covered Chase’s story and it has been picked up by Yahoo News — reaching people across the entire country who never knew Chase but understand that this road needs to be made safe. Nearly 2,000 of you have signed this petition. Because of you, this is no longer something INDOT or our state officials can ignore. We are sending this petition along with the news coverage directly to INDOT, Governor Mike Braun, State Rep. Tim Yocum, and State Senator Spencer Deery today. We are demanding a formal meeting and immediate action. Chase was a football linebacker, a baseball outfielder, and an All-Wabash River Conference golfer. He was a remarkable kid who showed up for everyone around him every single day. He deserved to make it home. So does every student who drives that road today. Please keep sharing. Keep signing.
