Petition updateJustice for Chad Vincent Fry: Why This Case Demands ReviewCase Update – Active Filings and Ongoing Record Withholding

Feb 10, 2026
We wanted to share an important update on Chad’s case. As of February 2026, multiple pro se filings are officially on the court docket, including: • A Petition to Reinstate Direct Appellate Rights nunc pro tunc based on appellate abandonment after counsel withdrew • A Notice of Intent to File a PCRA Supplement with a request to hold the matter in abeyance • A Motion to Compel Production of SOAB (Sex Offender Assessment Board) records • A formal Pro Se Disclosure Request and Formal Request for SOAB Assessment Records These filings are critical because risk assessment and classification records appear to have been used against Chad, yet continue to be withheld, despite repeated requests. Access to these records is necessary to ensure due process and meaningful access to the courts. At this time: • There has been no ruling on the petition to reinstate appellate rights • No final PCRA disposition has been entered • No evidentiary hearing has been scheduled • No disclosure has been made regarding the requested assessment records This means the case remains procedurally active, and the issues raised have not been resolved. We are continuing to push for transparency, accountability, and enforcement of basic constitutional protections. Your continued support, attention, and sharing of this case truly matters. Thank you for standing with us.
