We want to thank everyone for the continued support, we appreciate each and everyone of you! Another letter was sent to HULU in attempt to remove documentary.  I will include it in this update.  So far we have not had any response from Hulu, but we did have a big win with Delta Airlines, I emailed customer service about the documentary airing on their flights and they responded that they will be removing the documentary from their in-flight catalog.  I am SO pleased to hear that from them! I am hoping that Hulu will follow in their footsteps and do the morally acceptable thing and to pull the documentary from their platform.

Letter to Hulu:

Hello,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Jordan Preston, sister of Brooke Preston. I am writing again in hopes that the team at HULU has had a change of heart in having the documentary Dead Asleep airing on your platform.  As you may be aware I am using the power of social media to hopefully sway you into removing the documentary, this being out there for the world makes our family sick, its traumatizing our family all over again, we have been asking for over 6 months for the removal of this documentary.  I hope none of you every have such a tragic loss happen to a loved one, and furthermore I hope that if that were to ever happen, you would not have to live with it being broadcast as entertainment for others to enjoy.  I know this may be generating profit for Hulu, but I am hoping that you can see past the profit and feel for our family.  We have to live with the tragedy that struck our family everyday and to make it worse, we have had to deal with this documentary which is tearing our family apart.  Included in this documentary are videos of my mother when she first found out what happened to my sister, the most tragic moment of her life, and that was added as others entertainment? it's just awful, could you even imagine? I have so many questions as to why anyone would think it was morally okay for that to be aired.  You are airing a convicted murderer saying that he "can't find the words to say to our family" but he has the words to film for a documentary, you have him streaming as he is an innocent boy? its a lie, there is nothing innocent about stabbing Brooke, a 21 year old girl 25 times, he has had the audacity to make a film on her murder to gain attention- probably so he find a pro-bono lawyer who will help him get out of jail (now that is just my assumption since he is still filing motions for new trials, I do not know this for a fact, however, if that is the case, you are helping a convicted murderer potentially walk free).where as she isn't even alive anymore, may i remind you because HE choose to end her life, and in one of the most heinous ways possible. He is where he should be and where he deserves to be.  He should not be receiving any "fame" or recognition for the crime he committed.
Please, our family just wants to put this chapter of our lives behind us. we want to remember Brooke without having his name attached to her name, we want to be able to talk about her and not be disgusted about the fact that he sought out publicity to broadcast what he did to such a beautiful soul. He should not be praised, his defense was not found credible and he was found guilty of premeditated first degree murder, I do not understand why anyone would even want to give that god awful murderer a platform to speak on. I understand that Hulu wants to make a profit, but please, we beg you, make profit off of a family whom would love to work with producers to share their story. We are not that family. We want to live our lives in peace.  We want this movie removed from Hulu. We want to closure.

Respectfully,
I hope your team chooses the right decision on this matter. I know legally there are no obligations, but morally, we beg you to think about the pain you are putting our family though every single day this is on your platform for others to view as entertainment.

The Preston Family
