My daughter and I have, since our last update, continued to reach out to a number of attorneys/law firms.  

In this I have sought out those whose specialty is noted to be sexual abuse.

What we have encountered from  these firms/attorneys is being told, upon contacting them and providing them with some information on the case—names and relationship of the perpetrators, they are not taking sexual abuse cases—that is not their area of practice or, more directly, that they cannot take the case.

Sometimes, the initial phone conversation is very positive, hopeful.  Upon these occasions, I am asked to leave my phone number where I can be reached; and if contacted, there is a complete turnaround—a shift in dynamics and a shutdown.

Nevertheless, my daughter is determined to continue fighting, and I by her side.
