Update: AJ Law Is Gaining Momentum Across Wisconsin

Because of your support, the Alexavier Protection Act (AJ Law) is reaching the people who have the power to create change.
Over the past several weeks, the proposal has been shared with Wisconsin legislators, the Governor's Office, child advocacy organizations, state agencies, and members of the media. Several legislative offices have responded with words of support and have committed to reviewing or discussing the proposal with their teams. The Governor's Office has also indicated that staff are exploring the possibility of meeting to discuss AJ Law.
As our advocacy continues, another important milestone is approaching.
On August 7, 2026, sentencing is scheduled for Josie Dikeman in the La Crosse County Circuit Court following her conviction in connection with Alexavier's death. While the criminal case is approaching its conclusion, our mission extends beyond one courtroom and one conviction.
Justice is not only about holding individuals accountable—it is also about strengthening the systems responsible for protecting vulnerable children before tragedy occurs.
That is why we continue to advocate for the Alexavier Protection Act (AJ Law).
