Justice for Jessica Linton

Justice for Jessica Linton
The Issue
Jessica Linton, is currently serving an 11 year Federal Prison sentence for a crime she did not commit. By taking her case to court, she received a higher sentence than all but one of the actual guilty parties. What happened to her can happen to anyone. She's young, married, and has 2 daughters. She's a law abiding, hard working, tax paying citizen who has been removed from her family, friends, and community and cast into an environment that not only has taken away her freedom but puts her very life in danger. She's a Type 1 Diabetic dependent upon an insulin pump and also has Celiac Disease. As a result, she has been sent over 1800 miles away from her family because the only female medical center in our country is in Texas. This makes family visitation financially and logistically almost impossible. She hasn't seen her husband or youngest daughter in 2 years. Jessica has a college degree and does not have any drug or alcohol issues which eliminates her from prison courses that would earn more credits toward early reduction in sentence. Release to home confinement, at the very least, would be in the better interest of all concerned. Jessica could care for her daughter, receive proper diet and medical care, reduce the strain on tax payer dollars, and return to being a productive citizen. She is in no way a danger to society and is in fact an asset to the community. She's been involved in her church, Scouts, and many other service based organizations all her life. Our plea is for those in power to re-read the 60 plus character reference letters provided to the court, speak to those that worked with Jessica, and take another look at the facts of the case. Jessica did not knowingly and willingly plan, conspire, or participate in a Healthcare fraud scheme. Because of that, she could not morally sign the document presented by the prosecution saying she did something that she did not. She managed a pharmacy call center, was paid a normal salary, and lived a modest life. Now her entire life has been turned upside down. We hope that President Trump will approve her Clemency and send her home to her family. For more information and ways to help on this case, go to www.justiceforjessicalinton.org
