Julius is Asking Us to Fight for Richard Glossip's Life

Dear Justice for Julius supporters, 

It’s another dark time in Oklahoma. Not too long ago, we were fighting to stop the execution of our friend and brother, Julius. You’ll remember how determined the state was to execute him, despite overwhelming evidence of his innocence. 

Here we go again. 

Richard Glossip has been on Oklahoma’s death row for over 25 years even though no one disputes the fact that another man murdered Mr. Barry Van Treese. He’s almost been executed three times. There are many similarities in Julius and Richard’s cases – subpar legal representation, “snitch” testimony, a bloodthirsty, unethical District Attorney (Bob Macy), and evidence that is yet to be considered in court.   Like Julius, Richard Glossip has always maintained his innocence.

There is widespread consensus that Mr. Glossip’s conviction is unreliable. 62 Oklahoma lawmakers, including 45 Republicans, have called for Mr. Glossip’s conviction to be overturned. Oklahoma Attorney General, Gentner Drummond, has called for a new trial and  numerous prosecutors around the country believe his execution should be stopped.

Ask Oklahoma legislators to support a 60-day reprieve for Mr. Glossip and to use their authority to pass legislation that will allow him an opportunity to prove his innocence. 

Ask Governor Kevin Stitt to grant a 60-day reprieve, which will give the legal team and legislators more time to save Glossip’s life.
