Please STOP using DHL for shipping!
The Issue
There are thousands, possibly millions of Julep Maven subscribers across the US and Canada. We all pay a great deal of money to be subscribers. We love Julep and all the products. Unfortunately, many of us are disappointed, frustrated, even angered every month by the treatment our packages receive, and the length of time it takes them to reach us. We are normally promised delivery within 5-10 days. There are people frequently waiting two weeks or even longer for their items, some living in the same state, or even the same town as the warehouse. Julep even recently increased the price of expedited shipping, making it nearly impossible for any (sane) person to receive their orders faster. This issue is mostly cause by the company passing the package to the courier DHL. DHL will allow the packages to sit in their warehouse for many days, the longest I've personally seen being 5 days. There is tracking provided, but it is rarely, if ever updated by DHL. There will be periods of weeks when neither of these two companies can tell us where our merchandise even is.This is unacceptable, as most of us spend well more in a month with this company than just the cost of our subscriptions. We are loyal, we love Julep, and most of us even recommend the company to friends and family members. After numerous phone calls and FaceBook posts going unrecognized, we started this petition to try to make Julep see that a change needs to be made. We request that Julep would please use a faster and more reliable shipping method, such as Fed Ex, UPS or USPS (independent of DHL). We would even be willing to pay <$7 for a faster shipping option, even if it were only for mavens (though it would be great if it were for everyone!!). I've seen companies offer same day delivery for $8. Juleps next faster option is $14.99 for two to four days. That's almost twice the cost. Please don't force us to unsubscribe because we have to wait forever for our products!!
