Freedom of Information Act

Yesterday I received a CD from the JISD Communcations Department. This CD contains information that I requested using the freedom of information act. What I requested was emails that were sent and received to Dr. Mackey from board members going back to 2014. I also requested individual emails from board members who have JISD.org email accounts that contains both sent and received emails. Mr. Salyer had made a claim at a previous board meeting that they couldn't change the name because funds have already been allocated for the"branding" of the school. So I requested all Purchases orders that have any type of "branding" with the words Mackey on them. I received a note from the JISD Communations office that no such Purchase orders exist. (Meaning Mr. Salyer flat out lied to everyone.) I believe the file I have contains thousands of emails. I will be going through this to see what I find. I can tell you this, we do have a board member who has been forwarding Letters sent in about the name change to Dr. Mackeys private email account. I will keep you advised of what I find.
