The JISD school board tonight decided to stick to their guns and continue with the naming of Mackey High School. May of 2017 cannot come soon enough for this district. It is too bad we can't send some of them fishing early. The Board will flip in 2017 and the school must be renamed then. We appreciate the effort of Mr. Salinas, Dr. Salinas, and Mr. Macias. Please read board trustee Mr. Macias comments below.
