Dear Supporters, 

We know that fishermen consider seals and sea lions pests that are competing with them for fish, but shooting a marine mammal is illegal and completely unjustified. 

This poor sea lion has likely suffered for days, or longer, before washing up on shore at Kits Beach. Now in the care of the Vancouver Aquarium's Marine Mammal Rescue Centre it is uncertain if she will live. 

This is the kind of violence that the people advocating for a seal hunt on the West Coast don't want you to see. This is already happening on the open water where there is no one to see and hold them accountable. This is the suffering and cost to marine life of a needless and unethical hunt. 

We have a new Minister of Fisheries, Oceans, and Coast Guard in Joyce Murray. Please share and encourage others to sign, so that she receives the same message of opposition to this proposed hunt her predecessors have.
