Hi Everyone,

     Thank you all for your ongoing support!  In the next few months, there will be more legal and funding decisions regarding the proposed reservoir.  To help raise more awareness about Del Puerto's value for education ahead of these events, here's a project that's collecting short stories from current and former researchers, educators, and students about their experiences there and hopes they might have for the canyon's future: https://delpuertostories.weebly.com.  More information about how to participate and where to send your stories can be found here: https://delpuertostories.weebly.com/contact.html.  The posted guidelines/considerations are very loose.  People who've also written papers, books, or even online content like presentations and field guides about the canyon can ask to have them listed/linked to with their stories too!  Hopefully, as more accounts and experiences are publicly documented and this collection grows, they will collectively encourage some decision makers to think harder about the impacts of this proposed development on STEM and nature engagement.
