ANZ Bank is leading the charge by the banks to herd us into a cashless Australia.

ANZ employees are blowing the whistle on their bank's attempts to force customers to go digital.

News.com.au reported last week that:

"Several former ANZ staff have backed claims made by a whistleblower that the bank is deliberately pushing customers out of branches and using their absence to justify branch closures.

In an article published by news.com.au earlier this week, ex-staffer Phillip* said that during the time he worked at an ANZ branch in a metropolitan area, staff were directed not to serve customers and instead instruct them to do their banking at the onsite ATM.

He claimed the strategy behind this was to make branches look like they are serving less customers."

According to the bank's own employees they are deliberately trying to force customers to download the app and use cashless banking so they can claim that falling demand for face-to-face service.

Consumers don't want cashless banking and a cashless Australia! Just because Tap and Go is popular doesn't mean we want the cash turned off.

Enough is enough. Stop dismantling our cash system - national economic infrastructure.
