As you may have seen in the news, late Friday a story broke citing unnamed sources that the Biden administration is poised to approve the Willow Project and the official Record of Decision (ROD) will be released next week. However, this news should only be considered as speculation until the Record of Decision is released by the Bureau of Land Management. This weekend and until the release, it is more important than ever that we tell the Biden Administration to say “NO” to this project and “YES” to protecting our climate future loudly and clearly. Tell the Biden Administration that we expect a final decision that takes into account the requests from the Nuiqsut community leaders and the millions of people that have voiced their concerns with the damaging climate impacts this project will have. The only decision that can be made is the no action alternative.
