The Jordan YMCA Outdoor Pool is a special place. A beautiful, very well maintained 50m outdoor pool, with plenty of space for lap swimmers, triathletes, zumba pool classes, fitness enthusiasts, etc. A rare gem in the city of Indianapolis.

With warm weather often extending into late October/early November, keeping this pool open until Oct 1 really serves the Jordan Y’s membership well. We have plenty of local lifeguards that would love the opportunity for the extra month of outdoor duty.

Another positive would be to move the date of the doggy swim. By doing this, the Jordan Y wouldn't compete with the other doggy swims around the city(held on the same weekend). This could potentially bring in a lot more revenue to the Jordan Y.
