I am enraged at the amount litigation (specifically this recent ruling over holidays taken in term time) which is, increasingly restricting our civil liberties. It's a nanny state gone mad, suffocating common sense. Jon Platts daughter is 8 years old, years away from significant exams. Holiday costs rocket in school holidays. With an attendance of 90%, surely this little girl should be able to attend the university of life occasionally. A rule of 90% attendance sounds like common sense. Not zero tolerance!!
