At Januarys full council meeeting Councillor Kevin McKeon made the following statement;

“We didn’t stand alone. We won the war because the Americans and the Russians helped us. They won the war. In the end, we were just junior partners. We continue to be junior partners. That is the attitude of the Leaver ­– refusal to accept the realities of history.”

His derogative comments have attracted over 60,000 views on social media in which the public and Bolton At Home tenants have blasted his statement and his refusal to apologize for his comments in response to the Bolton News.

A councillor that represents the paid vice-chair position with Bolton At Home cannot hold this position in the face of such negative public attention, we the public as Bolton At Home tenants and constituents of Bolton request that Councillor McKeon be replaced from his paid role with immediate effect.
