We're Still Fighting

Yesterday, our bill, The Truth In Advertising Act (HR 4445), was reintroduced to this Congress, again with bi-partisan support. In today’s political climate, there just aren’t that many issues uniting both sides of the aisle, but this one does. As our lead sponsor, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R/FL) said in her comments: "Imagine what could be accomplished if young Americans were free to focus their attention on improving the world around them rather than focusing hopelessly inward to change themselves on the basis of false and unattainable physical standards." We’ve never been closer to getting beyond imagining this future to securing one where our kids(+) are free of photoshopped ideals and expectations. So, please, if you’ve got 2 minutes, call or email your Representative and ask them for their support. It’s this easy: 1. Call or email them with something like the following: I live in the Congressperson’s district, and I'm reaching out to urge them co-sponsor HR 4445, the bi-partisan Truth In Advertising Act, because our children need to be better protected from false and unfair advertising.
