Please read the latest update on my blog to see all the challenges I have had to face over the past few weeks of recovery from bronchial pneumonia... it is quite a read to show how women survivors alone on the community are at risk of bullying neighbours..!! With this we have to ask what is happening to society when folk are not caring and compassionate for one another?!

Also I am very very concerned that one of our local DV survivors that came to me to help me and make sure I was OK - showed me the living conditions the LBH have placed her in....
I am shocked that the council could even think of putting anyone in such a damp run down house let alone a women survivor of DV. Our perpetrators have bullied us and verbally assaulted us to put us down make us feel valueless... then for a women survivor to be put in nothing short of slum dwelling is simply not acceptable. This reinforces the psychological pain that we are valueless! It is impossible to heal and detox from the ugliness of violence upon you if you are in an hostile environment... and an environment that actually makes you ill with Asthma from the damp the mildew and the constant dust from crumbling plaster work... She is exhausted from her fight to get better living conditions... the house could be made beautiful and one thinks of the miracles the DIY SOS team can make. I am disgusted that the LBH could even think of housing someone in this run down place and you would think that they would prefer to look after their property assets with good maintenance.
Today I was told by someone to be grateful you have a roof over your head... but in this survivors situation that roof is leaking and not the shelter it should be!
I have photos on file from this survivor as evidence but today felt I wanted to share a photo beauty and when you read the blog post you will see why...
Keep signing the petition and RT tweeting and sharing as we really have to get Women's voices heard nationwide and in both local and central government.. remember there are directives for the state to adhere too set by the UN....and there is serious and urgent need for DWP reform... I am now falling back to being unable to eat 3 good meals a day... and I can feel my body is not fully recovered...
IS THIS THE WAY TO TREAT CITIZENS ... ? No all citizens deserve financial dignity and for those that shout go out to work you b**** remember my first job was in 1969 and I have paid in an enormous amount of tax over the years... but I was robbed of my assets by criminal perpetrators... and so I am here at 64yrs feeling incredibly vulnerable ...
I continue to turn Pain into Campaign for ALL women survivors!
Thanks Marjorie
