My voice was heard in Parliament last night in the APPG Poverty meeting. Remember part of the perpetrators behaviour pattern on his prey is to financially cripple her and she can fall from actually being a successful career woman to zero funds with the criminal pattern of abuse on her. Now we need an action plan to be exerted to get a strong and stable pathway of support so this challenge to government is not complete yet. I must fight for women aside me and behind me to get a strong and stable pathway of support on her journey of healing and rebuild. Please read my blog post for more on the APPG meeting as it is shocking and it shameful that I was hearing cases that you would think were from 1817 not 2017. Women in all this mayhem of government mal policies of the DWP need protecting from the sanctions, the bullying from the DWP, local councils & bailiffs and drops in support that are frankly dangerous and cost lives. The psychological pain on top of the post traumatic stress could lead to suicide. This is not acceptable to UN directives!!! This government are failing women and all citizens from the reports I have been listening too! My ancestors of this land would turn in their graves after all we have fought for to get dignity in our land and it is being taken away by badly thought out policies in 2017.... I have been suggesting to the DWP that alerts be put on files of women with domestic violence history - if she does not turn up to sign on or for interviews.. NOT to stop payment of support but to have a befriender to check on her... she could be laid depressed in shutdown or be dead. Can anyone be sure she is well and safe? We need a co-ordination of services to help her not hurt her more?!
