As I sit here in my bedroom at 11 PM on a Monday evening, I can't help but hear over a dozen screaming voices from about 3 blocks away at People's Park in Bloomington, Indiana. Over the past several years, the homeless have decided to make this park their home, starting fights, doing drugs, setting one another's belongings on fire, and causing raucous 24/7. This park is a beautiful asset to the lovely Bloomington community, and we must restore it to its original value. It is time for an END to People's Park being a home for the homeless. Mayor John Hamilton, please help us find a place in Bloomington where they can have proper shelter and care that is NOT People's Park.
