We are quickly approaching the 3 year anniversary of Ty Sawyer's death. Here is a status update of what has happened to Patrick Downey as a result of his actions close to 3 years ago.

NOTHING...still absolutely nothing. 

That is why we need your support to eliminate the mutual combatant law. Injustice ANYWHERE is a threat to justice EVERYWHERE.

"Mutual combat occurs when two individuals intentionally and consensually engage in a fair fight, while not hurting bystanders or damaging property. In some cases, mutual combat nevertheless results in killing." This law has allowed Patrick to be free and to walk around and enjoy his life with absolutely zero consequences. 

The mutual combatant law is a loophole that allows individuals to escape without repercussions from being charged for killing another person.This law is outdated and not meant for our modern society.We need to rally in support to repeal this Law. No other family should ever have to experience this injustice.Individuals need to be held accountable for their actions.Ty agreed to fight, but he did NOT agree to die.The fight between Ty and Patrick was no longer "mutually fair" once Ty was knocked unconscious and Patrick continued to assault him.

We need to show that we are still vested in making this change. So, therefore we are asking once again to rally in support of Ty Sawyer. No other family should have to experience this injustice. Delaware needs to repeal this law so that in the future individuals can held accountable for their actions. Individuals should not be able to use this outdated law as a shield to avoid the consequences of their actions.
