Despite approving the area around Osler Park for an off-leash dog park, the City of Toronto has yet to build one. While we wait, we have been using the fenced-in area without other local options. There are no dog off-leash areas between Trinity Bellwoods Park and Sorauren Park.

The City is starting to issue tickets to dog owners who allow their dogs to play off-leash here. Let’s urge our municipal representatives to finally move on this and give us a legitimate local option instead of criminalizing us. It was already approved, and Ana Bailao included "nearby dog off-leash area" in her campaign literature.

What's the wait? Proper fencing and wood chips can be installed now - a fountain can wait until the spring.
