Dystonia is the name of a debilitating Neurological condition, which causes involuntary movements just like Essential Tremor and Parkinsons Disease. It is the 3rd most common Movement Disorder Worldwide. Currently many people have Dystonia, it can show/display in 1 area, 2 area or generalised in affected areas of your body, in which our Muscles contract & pull, making the sufferer to experience chronic pain day in and day out. Many years ago, there was a given "70,000" ppl in the UK alone officially diagnosed with Dystonia and many more Worldwide, however this statistic analysis most definitely needs revising. So why do many medically qualified professionals/people have so little or no knowledge that this Neurological Condition, or what its: Medically given name is called and Most Importantly, has No Cure... Dystonia is very Common and is also very Current in the Neurological World. Regardless, even general practitioners/health physcians or even currently practicing, basic Medicine knowledge shows a Large Void and Ignorance to at least determine the obvious & clinically characteristics should outline a need for a referral in order to make 1 vital step to the Patient in order for the Correct Information, Answers, Details for a Diagnosis and get the help they need quickly. Young medics fundamentally need to know and be able to understand the simplicity of Science, Chemistry and Biology so therefore it's not 'Rocket Science' to come to a quick and easy decision in order to Refer People/Patients/Clients, to a more senior member, a good and educated guess would be a Neurologist!!!
I'm asking for your help as a Dystonia sufferer myself for you to help me and many others simply get the help and treatment they deserve.
