You will by now also be aware of Rivers' remarks on Palestinian casualties in the Gaza conflict. Those remarks are not simply "controversial" - something we may want to discuss and agree or disagree with. They are, instead, ill-informed and highly inflammatory comments, designed to justify what is now widely seen as unacceptable war crimes by the state of Israel. They are- simply put - hate speech. This is illegal under British Law. I want to kindly ask you to consider banning Rivers from performing at our (venue) The atmosphere in (add town or city) is one of a very strong public support for the civilians of Gaza, many of which are children.
