Liebe Mitzeichner, seit dem letzten Update sind etwas mehr als zwei Wochen vergangen und die Anteilnahme und vor allem das Einstehen für Zivilcourage reisst nicht ab. Es haben seit dem Petitionsaufruf, Tugce das Bundesverdienstkreuz zu verleihen, noch weitere Zwischenfälle stattgefunden, die uns alle fassungslos hinterlassen haben. Sei es der Supermarktüberfall in Hannover, der für Joey K. tödlich endete weil er sich für die Kassiererin einsetzen wollte, oder die blutig verlaufene Geiselnahme in Australien, oder auch der unmenschliche Überfall auf die Schule in Pakistan, bei der sich die Schuldirektorin eingesetzt hat. Tugce ist ein Symbol für viele, die diese Welt vor schlimmerem bewahren wollen oder wollten. Gerade jetzt in der Weihnachtszeit sollten wir ihrer gedenken, der Menschen die diese Welt in eine bessere Welt verändern wollen. Genau deshalb hat Tugce diese Ehrung durch unsere Regierung verdient und die Ehrung hat einen Sinn. Wir sollten auch überlegen, eine Stiftung oder Ähnliches ins Leben zu rufen, um Zivilcourage weiter zu würdigen, wie es auch einige Unterzeichner angeregt haben. Alternativ dazu können auch bestehende Stiftungen und Initiativen unterstützt werden (z.B. die Dominik Brunner Stiftung oder Tu Was! aus Bremen). Internationale Initiativen, außer #illridewithyou, sind mir im Moment leider nicht bekannt Danke an fast 250.000 Unterzeichner aus mehr als 170 Ländern dieser Welt! Danke dafür, dass ihr alle an Menschlichkeit, Nächstenliebe und die Möglichkeit diese Welt zu verbessern glaubt! Seid weiter für eure Nachbarn, Freunde, Familie und für alle Menschen in eurer Umgebung da und achtet (auf) sie! Eine frohe Weihnachtszeit euch allen, kommt gut in’s nächste Jahr und - vor allem - teilt und verbreitet diese Petition auch weiterhin, damit sich die Menschlichkeit auch weiter verbreitet. Karl Dear fellow petition signers, since my last update, more than two weeks have passed but your sympathy and passion for Tugce’s courage have continued. Since starting the petition for awarding the Federal Cross of Merit to Tugce, there have been similiar incidents that we all can barely grasp: the robbery of a supermarket in Hanover, Germany, where Joey K. lost his life to save the cashier, the lethal hostage drama in Australia or the raid at a school in Pakistan, where the school’s principals has demonstrated incredible courage. Tugce is a symbol for all those who have sacrified their lives to save others. Especially now during Christmas time, we should mourn these heroes and honor those that wanted to change our world to the better. This is the exact reason why Tugce deserves the award and why giving this award to Tugce makes so much sense. Like many wrote me, we should also think of setting up a foundation or something similiar to honor the courage to help others. Alternatively, we should also think of supporting exisiting foundations such as the Dominik Brunner Stiftung or Tu Was! from Bremen. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any international initiatives apart from #illridewithyou. But there must be some. Thank you to almost 250.000 signers from more than 170 countries from all over the world! Thank you that you all believe in humanity, the passion for others as well as that the world can be changed to the better.
