Yesterday we joined 300 friends and allies to rally in front of the U.S. District Court and wait to hear news on the injunction our tribe filed for. Towards mid-day we found out that while our testimonies were heard, we will not have an answer until September 9th.
In the meantime we wait, and continue organizing. We know that this will be a long struggle, and are preparing for the long haul. With that in mind, we are now putting our efforts into bringing more youth leaders out to the camp. We’re estimating that there are up to 80 different Native American tribes at the camp right now – one of the biggest gatherings of Native people in years – and we want to make sure that young Native people have the funds they need to come out and make their voices heard, both here in Standing Rock and in D.C. for the September hearing.
Will you donate $10 to help out? Your money will go towards transportation, food, and supplies for young people at the camp: http://chn.ge/2c81oAs.
Thank you as always for your incredible support. We couldn’t do this without your constant positive messages, donations, and suggestions.
