Today I learned that our BC Liberal government decided that the issues that are important to us are not something worth discussing in the fall legislature! Here's a thought... Can we take the same break? If MSP Premiums are not an issue that needs to be discussed, perhaps it is not really needed... There are 72,500 of us that say NO to this regressive tax and more and more people are signing every day. How about we inject that money into our own economies... Shop local, shop small businesses or spend your MSP monthly fee on alternative medicines. While the provincial government is off begging for corporate donations, we should keep our "donations" (MSP Premiums) for the betterment of our BC families. .... Let's do some math! 72,500 X $75/month X 8 months (next provincial election) = 43,500,000 43,500,000 - this is the amount of money that our government expects us to just hand over! The fact that the Liberals are NOT even in session, off spending more of our hard earned money on ADS saying how good they are for us, makes it even more of a travesty. Can we afford to keep giving our money away to a government that is more interested in corporate donations and tax breaks than the people they are supposed to work for? Don't you think that the 43,500,000 would be better spent by us, than to be handed over to a government to be NOT spent on health care??
