Thank you BC for continuing to share and re-share this very important petition. British Columbia stands alone -- the only Canadian province to charge head-tax-like premiums for health care coverage. With the latest "changes" to the MSP Premiums it shows a new $111 million in new taxes for British Columbians! After the premium assistance is accounted for makes it an increase of $77 million in revenue. Here is the breakdown of this new revenue: A couple that earns a combined $45,000 a year or more will see their premiums increase by $240 a year Senior couples with a slightly higher income face the same increase. A couple with two children will pay $72 more per year. These are significant increases in medical premiums and not moving in the direction that so many British Columbians want! Over 68,000 British Columbians want equality in taxation, not flat rate premiums that hurt hard working families. Please continue to (re)Share this petition.
